We invite you to experience the imperial era! All holiday apartments in Villa Franz Josef, now over 100 years old, have, of course, been fully renovated.
The history
A long time ago, in 1908 to be exact, the Eisl family built two villas on Moosgasse Street. This was done to mark the 60th anniversary of Emperor Franz Josef’s reign. One of these villas we are proud to call “Villa Franz Josef” today. Since 1996, the villa has been owned by the Schmeisser family. It has since been renovated in the Swiss chalet style and has been carefully maintained. Lovingly furnished with four holiday apartments, it is now open to our guests. Our apartments are named after Emperor Franz Josef, his wife Empress Elisabeth, and their children Crown Prince Rudolf and Archduchess Sophie.
